Unfortunately, with opioid use disorder so common, so are the health complications and conditions. If not prevented or caught early, these conditions cause significant medical complications at high costs, as well as adding to personal and family burdens. This program will explore what to look for and assess on your physical health review, what preventative measures regarding vaccinations can be done to mitigate health conditions, and will provide updates on the various treatments of health conditions related to intravenous drug use, e.g. endocarditis, HIV and Hepatitis C.
