Values and Ethical Decision Making in Clinical Practice | Supported by AdCare

Event Details

Clinicians are surrounded by values: a worker's personal values, a worker's professional values, organizational values, client system values (the values of the client as well as the values of those in his or her environment such as employers, friends, family, etc.), and societal values. This workshop will explore these competing values and the values underlying professional codes of ethics. This workshop will also investigate common ethical dilemmas in clinical practice and work with an ethical decision-making process that can be employed when value conflicts arise.
