Trauma from violence can be a deeply distressing experience with lasting effects. Current best practices addressing this issue warrant a trauma-informed approach based on neuro-scientific findings. This program will explore and provide practical approaches based on empirically informed interventions that promote health, well-being, and positive youth development. It builds on last year's CCSME offering, Practice Self-Regulation, and provides opportunities for clinicians to practice the neuroscience based exercises that address arousal and affect regulation, positive youth development, and pro-social decision making to ultimately prevent future violence.
