In part 2, the presenter will provide practical education and knowledge about working with Transgender and Gender Expansive adults. The role of medical providers working with this population will be reviewed with a focus on gender affirming medical treatment. You may register twice to participate in the full tw0-part series or sign-up twice to take the program of your choice.

Participants in this webinar will be able to:

  • Discuss the physical effects of gender affirming hormone treatment.
  • Describe the risks and benefits of estrogen and testosterone.
  • Discuss the informed consent shared with patients when these medications are prescribed.
  • Identify the steps needed to appropriately refer a patient for gender affirming medical treatment, to include hormones and/ or surgery.
