In this session, cognitive theory as well as its therapeutic value for addressing tobacco addiction will be described in brief. Participants will learn ways to identify, challenge, and reframe thinking about tobacco use or the process of quitting that reinforce tobacco use behavior. Participants will learn collaborative ways to brainstorm and formulate a behavioral coping plan to manage a tobacco quit. The focus of the session will be on skill building and practice.
