Tobacco and Substance Use Prevention and Control Vacancies announced by Maine CDC


The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Maine CDC) has four positions within the Tobacco and Substance Abuse Prevention and Control Program open for applications. The roles are based in Augusta. Please visit the Maine DHHS Jobs webpage for more information.

1) and 2) Health Educator (Public Health Educator III) - Two vacancies:
Plan, develop, organize, and conduct health promotion interventions in the Tobacco and Substance Use Prevention and Control Program; provide technical advice and assistance to agencies statewide; and provide oversight of programs, initiatives, and grant reporting. Recruitment closes on June 16, 2017.

3) Health Program Manager (Program Manager):
Provide strategic and fiscal oversight for a comprehensive clinical interventions and data program for tobacco and substance use prevention and control, grant oversight and leadership, and collaboration with state and community stakeholders. Recruitment closes on June 13, 2017.

4) Prevention Specialist (Education Specialist I)
Provide grant and programmatic support to the team within the Tobacco and Substance Use Prevention and Control Program; monitor contracts; collaborate in producing prevention interventions; and provide training and technical assistance statewide. Recruitment closes on June 13, 2017.
