This training is designed to prepare practitioners to reduce the likelihood of substance misuse and promote well-being among individuals and within families, workplaces, schools, and communities.

It was developed by SAMHSA for individuals new to substance use prevention and those early in their prevention career, but it is also appropriate for professionals in related fields who might have limited experience in prevention.

This training is endorsed by the IC&RC and meets requirements for certification by the Maine Prevention Certification Board.
